It’s Not Gone Forever | Bamon AU
Damon finds Bonnie Bennett’s body shortly after her graduation where he had just seen her walk up on that big stage, in her hideous red cap and gown, looking beautiful as always.
A smile and a few locked glances are what seems to get her through the possibly nerve-wracking feat. Her high school days are done.
She’s supposed to go to College in another town, one where there wasn’t the constant danger of Vampires, Werewolves and Spirits intent on killing them all for their selfish reasons.
When he happens upon her body, he can no longer stand on his own two feet. Falling to the ground on his knees with a sickening thunk, his heart breaking as he dissolved into tears.
“N-no. No no no. You can’t be dead.” he chants as he rocks himself back and forth. “C’mon, c’mon. You can’t be dead. I can’t…”
His sobs are the only thing that can be heard for the rest of the night, his cries of agony and pleas for her to return to him echo painfully into the moonlit night.
It’s been months since the death of one Bonnie Bennett.
Damon has moved on, left the town of Mystic Falls and everything behind. He has no need for anything anymore, the one thing he never noticed he’d had until it was gone, was buried six feet under.
New Orleans, a town of beauty and mischief, that’s where Damon now resides. No-one knows of his whereabouts but one person, he let it known to one person only and that was his brother. No matter the trials they had been through, the pain and suffering he’d caused the younger of the Salvatore’s for the last One Hundred + years, is long forgotten in Damon’s misery.
He’s sitting in one of his favorite spots in the city, a small bench in a cozy little park, filled with flowers and bushes and tree’s of many sorts when he senses someone he thought was lost forever.
As his eyes take in the Emerald Eye beauty, his crystal hues widen in surprise as hers fill to the brim with tears of happiness.
ngl the fact that dan ended up being gossip girl probably made him one of my favorite characters ever
how could you possibly root against a deranged master manipulator who vowed for confusing and unknown reasons to destroy the lives of like 5-10 of the most infuriating dickheads in all of TV history and doing all of this while being constantly shocked by his own means of destruction?
